Are you traveling, working, or living in the Philippines and suddenly need to head to Vietnam for business or a vacation? Don’t worry! Although Taiwan passports do not currently enjoy visa-free status for Vietnam, the good news is that since August 15, 2023, Vietnam has fully opened E-visa applications to Taiwan citizens, with the validity extended to a maximum of 90 days in 2026.

This guide is specifically compiled for Taiwan travelers in the Philippines. Whether you are in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, or any other corner, you can find the most suitable way to process your visa.

I. Three Things to Confirm Before Applying

Before you start, please check the following three items (all are mandatory):

  1. Passport validity of at least 6 months. Regardless of the visa method, this is a basic requirement of the Vietnam Immigration Department. If your passport is expiring soon, please renew it first.

  2. At least 2 blank pages in your passport. The visa will be attached as a sticker or stamped; ensure there is enough space.

  3. Confirm your purpose of travel (Tourist or Business). Document requirements and fees vary by visa type.

I will introduce them starting from the most recommended method. You can choose the best plan based on your time and needs.
